That frustrating moment where your story is almost all planned out and you're actually proud of how the outline looks, but the only title you can think of is godawful.

Kind of feeling like crap emotionally right now, so I'm just gonna walk around town. I'll probably buy things I don't need as well, which I may regret later, but I need cheering up! I might even write some super-indulgent stories later on too, I don't know.

It happens every time. I think, "Oh yeah, this fic will be short and somewhat easy to write." Then my brain is like "LOLNOPE! Why not try this idea, or this one, or oh! this is kind of cool too, maybe you could fit it in somewhere" and the sensible part of me is sitting back and whining "But I'll likely edit half this out anyway! Stop it!"

I've only just remembered I have a Netflix account but have rarely used it. So while I'm thinking of it now, here's a list of movies I'd like to see when (or if) they're available.

* Slings and Arrows (TV show, but still, I'd like to see it)
* The Kids Are All Right
* Winter's Bone
* True Grit
* Lots of various martial arts movies to see what those are like
* The Adventures of Tin Tin
* Stephen Hawking and the Theory of Everything
* Batman Returns (since I've seen and own Tim Burton's Batman, I should see the sequel as well)

Just as a reminder to me, here's a site that has some fun P4 fanart.

I'm quickly regretting taking on this idea to write a story focusing on Saki if she'd lived. On the one hand, the difficulty in writing is part of the fun, but on the other... I'M SO STUCK! I've got some basic stuff -like battle stance, Personas, and plans for what her issues and development are- down, but there isn't near enough to even get a rough draft going. This girl's life is depressing, I can't get into the right mindset to write it the way it probably needs to be.
So it turns out there's a pixiv tag for Yosuke/Protagonist stuff.

here it is!

I'll be making good use out of that, like the crazy shipper I am.

Edit: There's a tag for Saki too!

Little Journey buddy, I am so glad I got to play with you. If I remember correctly, you popped up right in front of me before the very last sand slide, and once we landed at the bottom of the pit, I saw you were a first-time player. Excited that I had a chance to give someone a good experience, we headed in together.

I was afraid I might have seemed cold and indifferent to you, since I'd already played through many times, and my robe clearly showed this, but I thought you were precious, and I wanted to stick close to you as if you were a true friend.

After the first machine rose up and we went into the little hallway, you turned back and ran at the sight of a statue, as if you were afraid of it. I followed you and waited for you to pluck up the courage to go back in and I felt like I was helping someone face their fears.

While I can't remember the next bit too clearly, I do know it was fun to play through with someone exploring everything with a new eye.

Then we reached the mountain, and my protectiveness became greater. I, by pure coincidence, happened to always be a few steps ahead of you, so that my scarf blew around your neck and kept your energy up even as I was too far and the cold slowly ate my scarf's light. Luckily we didn't get caught by the machines. Once we reached the area where you have to shelter behind rocks so as not to be blown back by the wind, things turned sour. Before the stairs, you sat down and I stayed by you, my particular position making it look like I was shielding you from the cold with my own body. Almost as soon as you'd gotten up to go again, you sat down and as I was trying to push you back so as to not be blown away by the wind, you faded away.

I found someone almost immediately after you left, but it just wasn't the same as making it all the way to the end with you.
Gideon Sundback was the inventor of the zipper. Change joke to fit his name in.
So many dumb story ideas, no actual drive to sit down and write them.

Most of them are so self-indulgent I'd be too embarassed to publish them anyway, but writing them out might at least teach me how to work past writer's block.
... and when I plan stories, I make inspiration mixes. Half the time, the songs have next to no connection to the actual story but help put me in the right mood for certain scenes. The best example I think for this is that my playlist has Andrea Gibson's "Class" in it. Nobody in the story has a life similar to the ones talked about in the poem, but the mood from how she reads it is fantastic.

Anyway, I'm just making a note that "Black and White People" by Matchbox 20 should be added to that inspiration mix, since it comes very close to how I write Yosuke in this particular story.

(And while I'm thinking of it, with this much work put into a Hero/Yosuke story, I should write some long Chie/Yukiko and Hero/Rise stories to give some more of my favourite pairings love.)

Some days I just wanna crawl into a hole and read books and play video games and write and not have to worry about all the tiny things I worry about.

I know that type of thinking fixes nothing, but damn, it's so enticing just to stay home in bed.
I'm ordering a set of the Persona 4 manga. I found a seller on eBay who not only has volumes 1 to 5 for sale, but will also translate them on request, and I want them so badly. I've heard there's Souji/Rise scenes that are exclusive to that adaption, and Rise is my favourite girl to pair with the protagonist.

and i might be wondering how certain events are adapted so i can get inspiration for my fics. but mostly hero/rise and the cute art is why i'm wanting them.
1 – How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?

2 – Name the fandoms you’ve written in, and how much you’ve written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.

3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?

4 – Do you have a “muse” character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn’t about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?

5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your “muse” or not, what did you do about it?

6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?

7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?

8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they’re not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.

9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?

10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn’t write, or a pairing you didn’t like, and found you could?

11 – Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you’re writing? What kind do you tend to write most?

12 – Have you ever attempted an “adaptation” fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?

13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?

14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you’re comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you’re writing is G-rated instead?

15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what’s the strangest thing you’ve warned for in a fic?

16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?

17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?

18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka “bunnies”) from?

19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?

20 –Do you ever get bunnied from other people’s stories or art in the same fandom?

21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?

22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you’ve thought about doing? And if not, why not?

23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?

24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren’t any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?

25 – Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain “mood” to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?

26 – What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you’ve had to research for a fic?

27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?

28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?

29 – What is your current project or projects?

30 – Do you have a favorite fic you’ve written? What makes it your favorite? And don’t forget to give us a link!
Writing parents becomes a lot more fun when you make them complete dorks. Still mature and able to be firm with their kid when it's called for (especially considering I give them a rather troubled teenage son who is desperate need of strictness in his life to help sort him out) but most of the time acting very easy-going and like life is just fantastic.

Writing authoritarian parents, though, is still tough as hell and they're also needed for a story to work.

There's nothing quite as depressing as making your way through Journey without a companion. A few people quit so suddenly I can only assume they were accidentally signed out of the Playstation Network (the same thing happened to me once, when I'd been playing with someone and trying to do faceplants in the sand) and a few I just got seperated from.

While it's sad and lonely going up that mountain alone, it also makes for an interesting experience. While my previous playthroughs gave the tone of strangers working together for a common goal, this one gave off the aura of similar people working for only themselves, and only mildly caring about who they met.

I met two people on the mountain, one who rushed over to me when I didn't notice them right away but got seperated from me at some point, and the other person I found wandering among the frozen seaweed like ribbons. I made my way to the end with them, and even waited at points on the summit when they- a first time player- had some trouble navigating the environment.

I love this game so much. Every playthrough brings a new way of looking at its world and story.
And already I'm immensely bored. I've barely gotten past the second song and want to give up.

Really, the only reason I'm watching it is because I find the leading actress kinda hot, and I'm using the sex scenes for possible references later on in my own writing.

Your mind is like a tangle of Christmas lights and your emotions are a ribbon quickly fraying at the edges.

I wish I could write you effectively.
I will never stop being amazed by the fandom's obsession with portraying Saki as some horrible, vapid person. I know she only had a few minutes of combined screen time, so I can't say she was a fantastic person either, but this amount of vitrol for a minor character who's only purpose to the story is to die horribly is quickly becoming disheartening.

Especially when obvious fans of Yosuke get in on the hate, since his and Saki's problems are very similar. Geez, people, give the girl a break.

I'm anxious about things that don't matter, hating fandom as a whole right now, and want to cry for absolutely no reason other than because I'm overemotional about superficial shit.

Time for bed and thoughts of happy, fluffy friendship fic. Friendships always make things better.
